For several years Norwood
Engineering has been developing equipment for manufacturing, sorting and
packing of wooden sticks for ice cream, exclusively for Norwood's four
stick manufacturing plants in Europe. Norwood and related companies have
obtained a leading position worldwide, mainly based on efficient sorting
equipment from Norwood Engineering.
Development of new stick shapes is part of the Green line activities. Further we can offer insertion machinery to go with the new shape, as we have already handled the new stick mechanically once when it arrives at the ice cream factory.
During the years engaged
with stick processing, our engineers and technicians always kept close
contact with the ice cream industry. We maintained a group of customers
who have been serviced with both stick inserters and spare parts.
The principals of stick handling are equal in manufacturing and in stick insertion. We know the problems which can occur with wooden sticks and we know how to handle them. Our 25 years of know-how in stick handling is now available through our new generation of stick inserters. A full range of inserting machinery has been launched for rotary freezers, in-line freezers and extrusion lines.
